Much has changed in America since 1963 when Martin Luther King’s prophetic voice rang from the Birmingham jail. At the same time, many things remain the same. The challenge of justice and racial reconciliation should remain at the front of the church and society, as our recent history has proven that discrimination, racism, and systemic injustice are ever present in our culture.
